CHAPTER ONE

~~ I walked alone through this cold winter evening... walking up the shore of Costire River... This is where many people claim that the world ends, but there usually the crazy and disoriented people who claim that. Ive come here to this river ever sence i was little... and only i know its secrets... i will say, only one person disapeard here... my dear brother. he was four years older than me. mom says dad took him far up north. maby he did, i don't know. but this was the last place i saw my dearest brother Montie... i can still remember his face... long black flowing hair... and deep blue eyes. i loved my brother. only i know the rivers secrets... I am the princess of Mistule Castle. I have one sister... My brother would have been older than her and next in line to be king... but. sence his absence... should i say... my sister, nor my mother, nor father, know of my secret. The lady of this river, she is a spirit. like a god. but she is good and kind. I bend down to touch the surface of the river, it is cold. calm at this time of year. and coverd in snow. suddenly i feared a rustle in the bushes behind me. i gasp in fear and bend down. its not human foot steps. suddenly a snarl and a hiss. "ah!" i scram the rustling stopped with one big yelp. i begin to breath heavily. my eyes wide with fear. "lady of the watter help me!" i shut my eyes tight and hope she hears my prayer. i open my eyes and a rustle comes from the bushes. suddenly a black dog appears in front of me, no not a dog, a fox, of some kind. i stand still for a moment, and it collapsed to the ground. -to be continued-
